A fellow classmate taught us this series of hand mudras to be done before meditation, as shown to her by her teacher, Baba Hari Dass. I found this video on YouTube which demonstrates both the hand positions and the accompanying words, if you're interested in checking it out. It's sweet, devotional and is nice way to transition from activity into still meditation.
Dwelling in the Self, I am a seed.
Pulled toward the world
I separate from thee.
Now I withdraw my mind
from the flow of the world
and I offer my life to thee.
So you will flow through me
revealing the reality of birth and death
and the bondage of maya.
I empty myself to be filled by thee.
I relinquish the world
and take refuge in thee.
You guide the way,
I shut out the noise of the world
so I may hear thy voice.
You protect me and dispel my fears.
Illusion falls away.
